Hyderabad - Mumbai - Goa

This blog is all about my recent travel experience from Hyderabad to Goa via [aamchi] Mumbai.This tour was 6 days tour completly and which includes 2 days for journey from 21st Apr to 26th Apr 2011. No of tourists : 3, one joined in Mumbai.
Train Journey To Mumbai [21 04 2011]
The journey started with "Hussain Sagar Express" from "Begumpet" railway station at "2:45 PM". which arrives "Mumbai" at "5:05 AM next day". The fare of which was around Rs. 300/-.
It was a nice experience to me, this train touches three states AP, Karnataka at Seram at 17:08, and Maharashtra at Solapur Junction at 20:50.

Arrival at Mumbai [22 04 2011]
We reached around 5:30 AM at Mumbai CST. I am sure one will fall in love with Mumbai at first sight, I am no exception. My friend was waiting for us to receive, later we took local train to Mankurd where my scientist friend stays. You will get frequent trains. Early in the 6 'o Clock I can see the crowd, you need to get out of your seat and reach at the door 1 stop before your destination other wise you are gone. Kurla is such a crowdy junction, do remember to beware of Pickpocketers [fortunately I didnt face at anywhere in my journey]. We went to my friends guest house had breakfast and took auto to Mumbai CST a nice pic you can take outside of the station. One of the best Station I have every seen. One must take pic. started journey to Gateway of India by Taxi. You can see the Ice Golas, and Vada Pau on the Joints [Nothing but footpath] observe the traffic police with white caps and taxis and autos with a unique color combination of black and yellow, and tall buildings.

Gateway of India, Taj Hotel, Elephant Caves, Carter Road, Santa Curz, [1st day in Mumbai, 22 04 2011 ]
Got down at Gateway of India, where we can also see Taj Hotel where the Terrorists attach was happend. Nice hotel. From Gateway of India we took boat ride to Elephant Caves which is an island. The fare of which was Rs. 130/- to and fro boat travel. On the go we saw many large large cruises, Tata Oil Refinary and Nuclear Reactor of BARC where my Mumbai friend is working as a scientist. Elephant Caves you can have small trekking experince. Again back to CST. From CST we took another local train to Santa Cruz to meet one special person, a nice Navi Mumbai station crowded all the way. He took us all around Carter Road where all the big shots have fun and large large hotels, which is popularly known as Posche area. One thing I observed at Carter Road was I say luxury Porche car and small cycle side by side, and you can have same crowd night at 8 'O Clock and at mid night 1 'O Clock. He took us all over to Juhu beach fully of lights and glilmpses of like Girl Friend beating Boyfriends, and hand on hand couples, some thing like which we never see in any where in this whole Galaxy. One should taste the Naturals Ice creams of variety of Ice creams. Back again to Santa Cruz to CST to Mankhurd. Thats how I ended my 1st day in Mumbai

Mahalaxmi Temple, Hazi Ali, Vashi, [2nd day in Mumbai, 23 04 2011]
From Chembur near to Mankhurd we took A/C bus to Mahalaxmi temple the fare of which was Rs. 40/-. we had prayed the god, from there we took a walk to Hazi Ali we have prayed over there also. From Hazi Ali you can have a good beach view nice to take pics.
From here we took taxi to CST again and for there to Vashi a biggest shopping place where the big big malls like Central, inObirt are located. The train to Vashi passes over the beach bridge a nice location to have a video.
As we went in the summer we struggled with heat but it was around 26-30 degrees in that day. Do remember Monday is a holidy for Mumbai guys don't plan for shopping.

Bad Bus Travel Experience To Goa [23 - 24 04 2011]
We wanted to have both bus and train experience to Goa, so we booked bus at 7:00 PM Paulo Travels,
We had a very bad experience with this Travels. The fare was Ros. 600/-. The driver was drunk and one of the passer by in Qualis had a bad experience with his driving. The stopped the bus and Smashed almost the front portion of the Bus, they have beaten up the driver also. With God grace we reached Panjim at 10:30 AM supposed to reach by 9:00 AM.

Goa Trip [24 04 2011]
We got down at Panjim. I suggest to stay at Panjim only, Panjim is the best place to stay in entire Goa just like a centre to any where, but there is no Train facility to Panjim we need to take 30mib travel to Vasco and catch the train.
Goa is nothing but beaches, beaches and beaches. If any body planning for two days I suggest to take local tour package on the 1st day have an idea what is what then next day spend on those beaches which you like the most.
Tour in Goa divided into two types. South Goa and North Goa. If taken seperately it would cost Rs. 150/- each one day South and the other day North Goa. Entire Goa South and North Goa can also be seen in 1 day which is Rs. 300/- without Evening cruise whch is Rs. 200/- [Not mandatory].
But one must enjoy the Evening Mandovi river Cruise, who wants to forget everything in life and just dance for at least 2min wich strangers with loud music...full of entertainment.[Take care of your luggage]

Panjim [1st day, 24 04 2011]
Panjim not much hot, who want economical budget they can get a hotel rooms starting from Rs. 400/- per day. Just you need to make your mind that you will be staying in hotel only for 6-7 hrs thats it.
We stayed at Elite hotel back side of Vihar Veg Restaurane right opposite to "Ferry Boat [location name]". The timing in Goa for shopping is 8 AM to 8PM, and Sunday is a holiday.

Checkout System : Most hotels check out system is at 9AM in the morning. Even if u take 3PM next day you have to check out at 9AM, even if you take 9AM in the monring the next day check out is 9AM only, no 24 or 12 hrs check out system.
Beaches in Goa :
Mirramar Beach : Nothing much to enjoy just a normal beach not crowded, black water. Just see and I recommend you can skip this.

Bhaga Beach and Calangoute Beach : Near by beaches of 20min bus from Panjim Bus stop. A place to enjoy, fully crowded area, full of foreign visitors, full of shops. This is the place to enjoy the water, foreign tourists, crowdy area.......I recommend you not to plan this beach in the tour package, one should spent at least half a day here. But mind you any time if you are staying in Panjim you have last bus 7:20 PM.
Bike Ride : Bike Ride one of the most I enjoyed 2 persons along with the drive which cost Rs. 150/- per head. We bargained for Rs. 250/- for two persons. Don't go with that mans words.
Parachute Ride : This was the most exciting moment ever in my life. Mid in the Sea, you are in the Air with Parachute woooowwwww wat a thrilling experience it was...but before you could immerse into the seamless joy of that moment in the air the captain will get you down again in the boat, it was just for 2min in the air. This costs you Rs. 350/- per head. Again bargain. We bargained for Rs. 750/- for 3 persons.
Boat Ride: Unfortunately we missed this part because it was alreay late evening.
Tatoos: You will come across with guys asking to paint tatoos they will ask for Rs. 150/- again bargain. You may end up with Rs. 50/-.
Panjim [2nd day, 25 04 2011]
We checked out the room at 8:30 AM in the morning, and have taken tour package of Rs. 500/- whole Goa including Evening Cruise at Ferry Boat. We left our luggage in the bus, dont keep any valuables in it. The guide will take you through all the Churches and beaches. I recommend this package. This package doesn't include food.

Bikes : There is a facility of bikes availability in Goa. You can get a bike ride, for this you need to pay Rs. 500/- per day and with min Rs. 2000/- deposit and they will keep one of your original copies of such as Driving Licnse, Passport etc.

Dolphin Watchng Trip
Dolphin watching trips are on offer from many local boat owners on many stretches of Goa's beaches. Which cost Rs. 350/-. If you go in a group of atleast 12 members it would cost you Rs. 200/- only. I suggest you include this Dolphin Trip in the tour package then you can gather 12 members automatically.
These local boat owners will take you to the place where these can be watched, while driving through we can see the Central Jain of Goa, the only Jail or I can say only place where one can watch sunset on Sea by sitting in one room. Even luxury hotels may not provide this type facility. Unfortunately, normal human being can't go there.

Evening Cruise : One of the best enjoyed placed in my life, leaving everything, dancing to the music, sweating all the body, don't hesistate to dance this is just a 2min in your life. Enjoyyyyyyyy... enjoyyyy.. enjoyyy ...leave your boss [Home and office] behind,, crush your boring colleague under you feet, ....dance and dance and dance.....nothing else...

Back To Hyderabad
We had train from Vasco - Hyderabad [Amaravathi Express] on the next day i.e., 26 04 2011 early in the morning 7:10 AM, so its impossible to reach Vasco from Panjim early in the morning. So, we planned 25th Night to Vasco by bus of 30min journey fare of Rs. 20/-.

Vasco : We stayed near Vasco railway staion at Nagina hotel for one day they have charged 2bd room Rs. 400/-. Its a good city wide roads, you can see Vasco fort over there. You can get train to Hyderabad [Amaravathi Express] early morning at 7:10 AM and reaches here next day morning at 5:00AM. This train halts for 5 hours at Guntakal, reaches at 5PM and starts again at 10PM. So to spend those 5 hrs there is a theatre nearby and movie starts at 6:15 PM and watch movie and come back after dinner at 9:30 and get into the train and start to Hyderabad.
